Description
This brownie might wreak havoc with your diet but you conscience will be clear and your taste buds will love you.
Ingredients
- 300 g butter
- 1 t vanilla essence
- 1 1⁄4 c flour
- 3⁄4 t baking powder
- 7 eggs
- 1 c trade aid cocoa
- 2 1⁄2 c trade aid sugar
- 1 c trade aid chocolate (shaved)
- 1 c fair trade raisins
- 1⁄2 t trade aid cinnamon
Instructions
Melt the butter completely. Add cocoa, sugar, free range eggs and vanilla; and mix well until colour lightens slightly. Add sifted flour, baking powder, salt and grated chocolate, and mix until just combined, at this point you might wish to add a cup of Fair Trade raisins to the mixure. Pour into a 32cm x 23cm x 23cm x 5cm lined sponge roll tin and bake at 150 degrees C for approximately 50 minutes. The brownie will crack slightly around the edges but will be soft to the touch. Allow to cool and dust with Fair Trade cinnamon cut into approximately 16 brownies. Serve with a steaming cup of Trade Aid coffee (or hot chocolate for those with a major sweet tooth!)
